So know, O Salman, that we bear witness in the position of unifying the essence, that He is one in His essence and has always been established on the throne of unity and the seat of uniqueness, and there was nothing with Him and no one will be mentioned with Him. He is the everlasting, the established, the mighty, the generous. He has always been in His self-sustaining nature and there was no mention of anything with Him, no recognition of self, and no unification of anyone except that it was as it had been in the eternity of the beginning. There is no god but He, the Almighty, the Wise. The knowledge of the knowers is cut off from this position, and the arrival of the eloquent is cut off, because beyond Him, it is non-existent with Him and lost with Him, and exists by His command. There is no god but He, to whom belong the command and creation, and He has always been knowledgeable of everything. He is Allah, there is no god but He, who did not take for himself a guardian, a helper, a partner, a likeness, or a minister. There is no god but He, the Mighty, the Able, the all-Encompassing.
