Baha'u'llah was in Baghdad, Iraq, with his brother Subh-i-Azal from 1852 to 1863, when they were deported to Adrianople, here referred to as the "Land of the Secret", because it was there that the secret of his being a new Manifestation was divulged. Then in 1868 he and his followers were sent to Acre, which he calls "This Illumined Spectacle".
