My God, my God, do not deprive eyes of what You have created them for, nor faces from turning towards Your horizon, standing at the gate of Your greatness, being present before Your throne, and bowing down at the illumination of the lights of the sun of Your grace. O Lord, it is I whose heart, liver, limbs, and both my outer and inner tongue have witnessed Your uniqueness and singularity, and that You are God, there is no deity but You. You created creation for the recognition of You and the service of Your command, so that their stations might be elevated on Your earth and their souls ascend with what You have revealed in Your scriptures, books, and tablets. But when You manifested Yourself and sent down Your verses, they turned away from You and disbelieved in You and what You manifested with Your power and strength. They stood against Your harm, extinguishing Your light, and quenching the fire of Your Lote-Tree, reaching such a level of injustice that they sought to shed Your blood and violate Your sanctity. And thus those whom You nurtured with the hands of Your care and protected from the harm of the tyrants of Your creation and the rebels among Your servants, who should have championed Your verses before Your throne.
