1 | هُوَ الباقِي فِي الأُفُقِ الأَبهى
أَتَى أَمْرُ اللهِ عَلَى ظُلَلٍ مِنَ البَيانِ وَالمُشْرِكُونَ يَوْمَئِذٍ فِي عَذابٍ عَظِيمٍ. قَدْ نُزِّلَتْ جُنُودُ الوحي بِراياتِ الإِلْهامِ عَنْ سَماءِ اللَّوْحِ باسْمِ اللهِ المُقْتَدِرِ القَديرِ. إذًا يَفْرَحُنَّ المُوَحِّدُون بِنَصْرِ اللهِ وَسُلْطانِهِ وَالمُنْكِرُونَ حِينَئِذٍ فِي اضْطِرابٍ مُبِينٍ. He is Eternal in His Abha Horizon!
Verily, the Cause of God hath come upon the clouds of utterances and the polytheists are in this day in great torment! Verily, the hosts of revelation have descended with banners of inspiration from the heaven of the Tablet in the name of God, the powerful, the mighty! At this time the monotheists all rejoice in the victory of God and His dominion, and the deniers will then be in manifest perplexity. (edit) |
He is the Everlasting One in the most resplendent horizon.
The command of Allah has come upon shadows of explanation, and the polytheists on that day will be in great torment. The armies of Revelation have descended with the banners of inspiration from the heaven of the Tablet in the name of Allah, the Almighty, the All-Powerful. 2 | يا أَيُّها النَّاسُ أَتَفِرُّونَ عَنْ رَحْمَةِ اللهِ بَعْدَ الَّذِي أَحاطَتِ المُمْكِناتِ عَمَّا خُلِقَ بَيْنَ السَّمَواتِ وَالأَرَضِينَ، أَنْ لا تُبَدِّلُوا رَحْمَةَ اللهِ عَلَى أَنْفُسِكُمْ وَلا تَحْرِمُوا أَنْفُسَكُم مِنْهَا وَمَنْ أَعْرَضَ عَنْها إِنَّه عَلَى خُسْرانٍ عَظِيمٍ. مَثَلُ الرَّحْمَةِ مِثْلُ الآياتِ إنَّها نُزِّلَتْ مِن سَماءٍ واحِدَةٍ. وَيُسْقَوْنَ المُوَحِّدُونَ مِنْها خَمْرَ الحَيَوانِ وَالمُشْرِكونَ يَشْرَبونَ مِنْ ماءِ الحَمِيمِ. وَإذَا يُتلَى عَلَيْهِم آياتُ اللهِ تَشْتَعِلُ فِي صُدُورِهِم نارُ البَغْضَآءِ كذلِكَ بَدَّلُوا نِعْمَةَ اللهِ عَلَى أَنْفُسِهمْ وَكانُوا مِنَ الغافِلِينَ. أَنِ ادْخُلُوا يا قَوْمِ فِي ظِلِّ الكَلِمَةِ ثُمَّ اشْرَبُوا مِنْها رَحِيقَ المَعَانِي وَالبَيانِ لأَنَّ فِيها كُنِزَ كَوْثَرُ السُّبْحَانِ وَظَهَرَتْ عَنْ أُفُقِ مَشِيئَةِ رَبِّكُمُ الرَّحْمنِ بِأَنْوارٍ بَدِيعٍ. O ye people! Do ye flee from the mercy of God after it has encompassed the existent things created between the heavens and earths? Beware lest ye prefer your own selves before the mercy of God, and deprive not yourselves thereof! Verily, whosoever turneth away therefrom will be in great loss. Verily, mercy is like unto verses which have descended from the one heaven, and from them the monotheists drink the choice wine of life, whilst the polytheists drink from the fiery water; and when the verses of God are read unto them, the fire of hatred is enkindled within their breasts. Thus have they preferred their own selves before the mercy of God, and are of those who are heedless.
Enter, O people, beneath the shelter of the Word! Then drink therefrom the choice wine of inner significances and utterances; for therein is hidden the kawther of the glorious One --- and it hath appeared from the horizon of the Will of your Lord, the merciful, with wonderful lights. (edit) |
O people, do you turn away from the mercy of Allah after it has encompassed all possibilities created between the heavens and the earth? Do not exchange the mercy of Allah upon yourselves, nor deprive yourselves of it. Whoever turns away from it is indeed in great loss. The example of mercy is like that of the verses; it has been sent down from a single heaven. The monotheists are given to drink from it the wine of life, while the polytheists drink from the scalding water. And when the verses of Allah are recited to them, hatred's fire ignites in their chests; thus, they have exchanged the blessings of Allah upon themselves and have become among the heedless.
Enter, O people, under the shade of the Word, then drink from it the nectar of meanings and explanation, for in it are the treasures of the abundant Kawthar of the Most Exalted. It has appeared from the horizon of your Lord's will, the Most Merciful, with marvelous lights. (edit) |
3 | قُلْ قَدِ انْشَعَبَ بَحْرُ القِدَمِ مِنْ هَذَا البَحْرِ الأَعْظَمِ فَطُوبَى لِمَنِ اسْتَقرَّ فِي شاطِئهِ وَيَكُونُ مِنَ المُسْتَقِرَّينَ. وَقَدِ انْشَعَب مِنْ سِدْرَةِ المُنْتَهَى هَذَا الهَيْكلُ المُقَدَّسُ الأَبْهَى غُصْنُ القُدْسِ فَهنيئًا لِمَنِ اسْتظَلَّ فِي ظِلِّه وَكانَ مِنَ الرَّاقِدينَ. Say: Verily, the ocean of pre-existence hath branched forth from this most great Ocean. Blessed, therefore, is he who abides upon Its shores, and is of those who are established thereon. Verily, this most sacred temple of Abha ---the Branch of Holiness--- hath branched forth from the Sadratu'l-Muntaha. Blessed is whosoever sought shelter beneath it and is of those who rest therein. (edit) | Say, the Sea of Eternity has branched out from this Greatest Ocean, so blessed are those who settle on its shore and become among the steadfast. And from the Sidrat al-Muntaha (the Lote Tree of the Utmost Boundary), this most resplendent, sacred temple has branched out as a branch of holiness. 4 | قُلْ قَدْ نَبَتَ غُصْنُ الأَمْرِ مِن هَذا الأَصْلِ الَّذِي اسْتَحْكَمَهُ اللهُ فِي أَرْضِ المَشِيَّةِ وَارْتَفَعَ فَرْعُهُ إلى مَقَامٍ أَحاطَ كُلَّ الوُجُودِ فَتَعَالَى مِنْ هَذا الصُّنْعِ المُتَعالِي المُبَارَكِ العَزِيزِ المَنِيع. أَنْ يَا قَوْمِ تَقَرَّبُوا إلَيْهِ وَذوقُوا منْهُ أَثْمارَ الحِكْمَةِ وَالعِلْمِ مِنْ لَدُن عَزيزٍ عَليمٍ. وَمَنْ لَمْ يَذُقْ مِنْهُ يَكُونُ مَحْرُومًا عَنْ نِعْمَةِ اللهِ وَلَوْ يُرْزَقُ بِكُلِّ مَا عَلَى الأَرضِ إِنْ أَنْتُمْ مِنَ العَارِفِينَ. Say: Verily, the branch of command hath sprung forth from this root which God hath firmly planted in the ground of the will, the limb of which has been elevated to a station which encompasses all existence. Therefore, exalted be He for this creation, the lofty, the blessed, the inaccessible, the mighty!
O ye people! Draw nigh unto It, and taste the fruits of its knowledge and wisdom on the part of the mighty, the knowing One. Whosoever will not taste thereof shall be deprived of the bounty, even though he hath partaken of all that is in the earth --- were ye of those who know. (edit) |
Say, the branch of the Divine Command has grown from this firmly established root that Allah has anchored in the land of His Will, and its offshoot has risen to a station encompassing all existence. Exalted is He from this sublime, blessed, mighty, and impregnable creation. O people, draw near to it and taste from it the fruits of wisdom and knowledge from the presence of a Mighty, All-Knowing One. 5 | قُلْ قَدْ فُصِّلِ مِنْ لَوْحِ الأَعظَمِ كَلِمَةٌ عَلَى الفَضْلِ وَزَيَّنَها اللهُ بِطِرَازِ نَفسِهِ وَجَعَلَها سُلْطَانًا عَلَى مَنْ عَلَى الأَرْضِ وَآيَةَ عَظَمَتِه وَاقْتِدَارِه بَيْنَ العَالَمِينَ لِيُمَجِّدُنَّ النَّاسُ بِهِ رَبَّهُمُ العَزِيْزَ المُقْتَدِرَ الحَكِيمَ وَيُسَبِّحُنَّ بِهِ بَارِئَهُمْ وَيُقَدِّسُنَّ نَفْسَ اللهِ القائِمَةَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ إِنْ هَذَا إِلا تَنْزيلٌ مِنْ لَدُنْ عَلِيمٍ قَدِيمٍ. Say: Verily a word hath gone forth in favor from the most great Tablet and God has adorned It with the mantle of Himself, and made it sovereign over all in the earth and a sign of His grandeur and omnipotence among the creatures; in order that, through it, the people shall praise their Lord, the mighty, the powerful, the wise; and that, through it, they shall glorify their creator and sanctify the self of God which standeth within all things. Verily, this is naught but a Revelation upon the part of the wise, the ancient One! (edit) | Say, a word has been detailed from the Greatest Tablet by virtue of grace, and Allah has adorned it with the embroidery of His Own Self, making it a sovereign authority over all on earth and a sign of His greatness and omnipotence among the worlds. So that people may glorify their Mighty, All-Powerful, Wise Lord through it, and extol their Creator, and sanctify the Self of Allah, Who stands above all things. 6 | قُلْ يا قَوْمِ فَاشْكُرُوا اللهَ لِظُهُورِهِ لأَنَّه لَهُوَ الفَضلُ الأَعْظَمُ عَلَيكُم وَنِعْمَتُهُ الأَتَمُّ لَكُمْ وَبِهِ يَحْيى كلُّ عَظْمٍ رَمِيمٍ، مَنْ تَوَجَّهَ إلَيْهِ فَقَدْ تَوَجَّهَ إِلى اللهِ فَمنْ أَعْرَضَ عَنْهُ فَقَدْ أَعْرَضَ عَنْ جَمَالِي وَكَفرَ بِبُرْهانِي وَكانَ مِنَ المُسْرِفينَ. إِنَّهُ لَوَدِيعَةُ اللهِ بَيْنَكَمُ وَأَمانَتُهُ فِيكُمْ وَظُهُورُهُ عَلَيكُمْ وَطلُوعُهُ بَيْنَ عِبادِه المُقرَّبينَ كَذِلكَ أُمِرْتُ أنْ أُبَلِّغَكُمْ رِسالَةَ اللهِ بَارِئِكُمْ وَبَلَّغْتُكُمْ بِما أَمِرتُ بِهِ إذًا يَشْهَدُ اللهُ عَلَى ذَلِكَ ثُمَّ مَلائِكَتُهُ وَرُسُلُهُ ثمَّ عِبادُهُ المُقَدَّسِينَ. Say: O people, praise ye God, for its Manifestation, for verily it is the most great favor upon you and the most perfect blessing upon you; and through Him every moldering bone is quickened. Whosoever turns to Him hath surely turned unto God, and whosoever turneth away from Him hath turned away from My beauty, denied My proof and is of those who transgress. Verily, He is the remembrance of God amongst you and His trust within you, and His manifestation unto you and His appearance among the servants who are nigh. Thus have I been commanded to convey to you the message of God, your Creator; and I have delivered to you that of which I was commande His messengers, and then His holy servants. (edit) | Say, O people, be grateful to Allah for His appearance, for it is the greatest favor upon you and the most perfect blessing for you. With it, every decayed bone is revived. Whoever turns to it has turned to Allah, and whoever turns away from it has turned away from My beauty, denied My proof, and is among the extravagant. It is indeed the trust of Allah among you and His covenant within you, its appearance upon you, and its rise among His close servants. Thus, I was commanded to convey to you the message of Allah, your Creator, and I have delivered to you what I was commanded. Then, let Allah bear witness to that, followed by His angels, His messengers, and His sanctified servants. (edit) |
7 | أَنِ اسْتَنْشِقُوا رَائِحَةَ الرِّضْوَانِ مِن أَوْرَادِهِ ولا تَكُونُنَّ مِنَ المَحرُومِينَ. أَنِ اغْتَنِمُوا فَضْلَ اللهِ عَلَيْكُمْ وَلا تَحْتَجِبُوا عَنْهُ وَإِنَّا قَدْ بَعَثْناهُ عَلَى هَيْكَلِ الإِنْسانِ فَتَبارَكَ اللهُ مُبْدِعُ ما يَشَاءُ بِأَمْرِه المُبْرَمِ الحَكِيمِ. إِنَّ الَّذِينَ هُمْ مَنَعُوا أَنْفُسَهُمْ عَنْ ظِلِّ الغُصْنِ أُولَئِكَ تاهُوا فِي العَرآءِ وَأَحْرَقَتْهُمْ حَرارَةُ الهَوَى وَكانُوا مِنَ الهَالِكينَ. Inhale the fragrances of the Ridvan from His roses and be not of those who are deprived. Appreciate the bounty of God upon you and be not veiled therefrom --- and, verily, We have sent Him forth in the temple of man. Thus praise ye the Lord, the Originator of whatsoever He willeth through His wise and inviolable Command!
Verily, those who withhold themselves from the shelter of the Branch are indeed lost in the wilderness of perplexity; and are consumed by the heat of self-desire, and are of those who perish. (edit) |
Breathe in the fragrance of divine pleasure from its emanations and do not be among the deprived. Seize the grace of Allah upon you and do not hide from it. Indeed, We have sent it upon the temple of mankind, so blessed is Allah, the Originator of what He wills by His Wise, Decisive command. Those who have withheld themselves from the shade of the branch have wandered in the wilderness, and the heat of passion has consumed them, and they were among the perished. (edit) |
8 | أنِ اسْرِعُوا يا قَومِ إلَى ظِلِّ اللهِ لِيَحفَظَكُمْ عَنْ حَرِّ يَوْمِ الَّذِي لَنْ يَجِدَ أَحَدٌ لِنَفْسِه ظِلاًّ ولا مِأْوًى إِلا ظِلَّ اسْمِهِ الغَفُورِ الرَّحِيمِ. أَنِ البِسُوا يا قَوْمِ ثَوبَ الإِيقانِ لِيَحْفَظَكُمْ عَن رَمْي الظُّنُونِ وَالأَوْهامِ وَتَكُونُنَّ مِن المُوقِنيِنَ فِي هَذِهِ الأَيَّامِ الَّتي لَنْ يُوقِنَ أَحَدٌ وَلَنْ يَسْتَقِرَّ عَلى الأَمرِ إِلا بِأَن يَنْقَطِعَ عَنْ كُلِّ ما فِي أَيْدِي النّاسِ وَيَتَوَجَّهَ إِلى مَنْظَرِ قُدْسٍ مُنِيرٍ. Hasten, O people, unto the shelter of God, in order that He may protect you from the heat of the Day whereon none shall find for himself any refuge or shelter except beneath the shelter of His Name, the clement, the forgiving! Clothe yourselves, O people, from the dart of doubts and superstitions, and that ye may be of those who are assured in those days wherein none shall ever be assured and none shall be firmly established in the Cause, except by severing himself from all that is possessed by the people and turning unto the holy and radiant outlook. (edit) | Hurry, O people, to the shade of Allah so that He may protect you from the heat of a day when no one will find any shade or refuge for themselves except the shade of His name, the Most Forgiving, the Most Merciful. O people, put on the garment of certainty so that it may protect you from the assault of doubts and illusions, and that you may be among the believers during these days when no one will be certain or settle upon the matter except by detaching themselves from everything in the hands of people and turning towards a luminous, sacred scene. 9 | يَا قَوْمِ أَتَتَّخِذُونَ الجِبْتَ لأَنفُسِكُمْ مُعينًا مِنْ دونِ اللهِ وَتَتَّبِعُونَ الطّاغُوتَ رَبًّا مِنْ دُونِ رَبِّكُمُ المُقْتَدِرِ القَديرِ. دَعُوا يا قَوْمِ ذِكْرَهُما ثُمَّ خذُوا كَأْسَ الحَيَوانِ بِاسْمِ رَبِّكُمُ الرَّحمنِ تَاللهِ بِقَطْرَةٍ مِنَها يَحْيَى الإِمكانُ إِنْ أَنْتُمْ مِنَ العَالِمينَ. قُلِ اليَوْمَ لا عاصِمَ لأَحَدٍ مِنْ أَمْرِ اللهِ ولا مَهْرَبَ لِنَفْسٍ إِلا اللهُ وَهَذَا لَهُوَ الحَقُّ وَما بَعْدَ الحَقِّ إِلا الضَّلالُ المُبِينُ. O ye people! Do ye take unto yourselves the Jebt as a helper other than God, and do ye seek the Taghoot as a Lord besides your Lord the almighty, the omnipotent? Forsake, O people, their mention, then hold the chalice of life in the Name of your Lord, the merciful. Verily, by God, the existent world is quickened through a drop thereof, were ye of those who know.
Say: In that Day there is no refuge for any one save the command of God, and no salvation for any soul but God. Verily, this is the truth and there is naught after truth but manifest error. (edit) |
O people, do you take falsehood as a source of aid for yourselves besides Allah, and follow the rebellious ones as lords other than your Lord, the Omnipotent, the All-Powerful? O people, abandon their remembrance, then take the cup of vitality in the name of your Lord, the Most Compassionate. By Allah, with just a drop of it, potentiality comes to life if you are among those who possess knowledge. Say, today there is no protection for anyone from the decree of Allah, nor is there a refuge for a soul except in Allah, and this is the absolute truth, and anything beyond the truth is nothing but clear misguidance. 10 | وَلَقَدْ حَتَمَ اللهُ عَلَى كُلِّ نَفْسٍ بِأَنْ يُبَلِّغُوا أَمْرَهُ عَلَى ما يَكُونُ مُسْتَطِيعًا عَلَيْهِ كَذلِكَ قُدِّرَ الأَمْرُ مِنْ إِصْبَعِ القُدْرَةِ وَالاقْتِدارِ عَلَى أَلْواحِ عِزٍّ عَظِيمِ. وَمَنْ أَحْيَى نَفْسًا فِي هَذَا الأَمْرِ كَمَنْ أَحَيى العِبَادَ كُلَّهُم وَيْبَعَثُهُ اللهُ يَوْمَ القِيامَةِ فِي رِضْوانِ الأَحَدِيَّةِ بِطِرازِ نَفْسِهِ المُهَيْمِنِ العَزِيزِ الكَرِيمِ. وَإِنَّ هَذَا نُصْرَتُكُمْ رَبَّكُمْ وَمِنْ دُونِ ذلِكَ لَنْ يُذْكَرَ اليَوْمَ عِنْدَ اللهِ رَبِّكُمْ وربِّ آبائِكُم الأَوَّلِينَ. Verily, God hath made it incumbent upon every soul to deliver His Cause according to his ability. Thus hath the command been recorded by the finger of might and power upon the Tablet of majesty and greatness.
Whosoever quickens one soul in this Cause is like unto one quickening all the servants and the Lord shall bring him forth in the day of resurrection into the Ridvan of oneness, adorned with the Mantle of Himself, the protector, the mighty, the generous! Thus will ye assist your Lord, and naught else save this shall ever be mentioned in this day before God, your Lord and the Lord of your forefathers. (edit) |
Indeed, Allah has decreed upon every soul to convey His command to the best of their ability. Thus, the matter has been determined by the Finger of Power and Authority upon the Tablets of Mighty Esteem. Whoever revives a soul in this matter is as if they have revived all the servants, and Allah will raise them on the Day of Resurrection in the pleasure of the Oneness, adorned by His own sovereign, mighty, and generous Self. Indeed, this is the support from your Lord, and apart from this, nothing will be mentioned today in the presence of Allah, your Lord and the Lord of your ancient forefathers. (edit) |
11 | وَإِنَّكَ أَنْتَ يا عَبْدُ أَنِ اسْتَمِعْ مَا وَصَّيْنَاكَ فِي اللَّوْحِ ثُمَّ ابْتَغِ فَضْلَ رَبِّكَ فِي كُلِّ حِينٍ. ثُمَّ انْشُرِ اللَّوحَ بَيْنَ يَدَيِّ الَّذِينَ هُمْ آمَنُوا بِاللهِ وَبِآياتِهِ لِيُبَلِّغُنَّ ما فِيهِ وَيَكُونُنَّ مِنَ المُحْسِنينَ. (edit)

As to thee, O servant, hearken unto the admonition given unto thee in the Tablet; then seek the grace of thy Lord at all times. Then spread the Tablet among those who believe in God and in His verses; so that they may follow that which is contained therein, and be of those who are praiseworthy. (edit) | Indeed, you, O servant, listen to what We have instructed you in the Tablet, then seek the bounty of your Lord at all times. Then spread the Tablet before those who believe in Allah and His signs so that they may convey what is in it and be among the doers of good. (edit) |
12 | قُلْ يا قَوْمِ لا تُفْسِدُوا فِي الأرْضِ وَلا تُجادِلُوا مَعَ النَّاسِ لأَنَّ هَذَا لَمْ يكُنْ شَأْنَ الَّذِينَ هُمُ اتَّخَذُوا فِي ظِلِّ رَبِّهِمْ مَقامًا كانَ عَلَى الحَقِّ أَمِين. وَإِذَا وَجَدْتُمْ عَطْشانًا فَاسْقُوهُ مِنْ كَأْسِ الكَوْثَرِ والتَّسْنيمِ، وَإِنْ وَجَدْتُمْ ذَاتَ أُذُنٍ وَاعِيَةٍ فَاتْلُوا عَلَيهِ آيَاتِ اللهِ المُقْتَدِرِ العَزِيزِ الرَّحِيم. Say: O people, cause no corruption in the earth and dispute not with men; for, verily, this is not worthy of those who have chosen in the shelter of their Lord a station which shall indeed remain secure.
If ye find one athirst, give him to drink from the chalice of Kawtha and Tasneen; and if ye find one endowed with an attentive ear, read unto him the verses of God, the mighty, the merciful, the compassionate! (edit) |
Say, O people, do not spread corruption on the earth and do not argue with people, for this was not the way of those who took shelter in the shadow of their Lord, who were on the path of truth and trust. And if you find someone thirsty, give them a drink from the cup of Kawthar and Tasneem. And if you find someone with receptive ears, recite to them the verses of Allah, the Almighty, the Mighty, the Merciful. (edit) |
13 | أَنِ افْتَحُوا اللِّسانَ بِالبَيانِ الحَسَنةِ ثُمَّ ذَكِّروا النَّاسَ إِنْ وَجَدْتُمُوهُمْ مُقْبِلاً إلَى حَرَمِ اللهِ وإِلا دَعُوهُمْ بِأَنْفُسِهِمْ ثُمَّ اتْركُوهُمْ فِي أَصْلِ الجَحِيمِ. إِيَّاكُمْ أَنْ لا تَنْشُرُوا لَئَالِئَ المَعَانِي عِنْدَ كُلِّ أَكْمَهٍ عَقِيمٍ. لأنَّ الأَعْمَى يَكُونُ مَحْرومًا عَنْ مُشاهَدَةِ الأَنْوارِ وَلَنْ يَفْرِقَ الحَجَرَ عَنْ لُؤْلُؤِ قُدْسٍ ثَمِينٍ. إِنَّكِ لَوْ تُلْقِي عَلَى الحَجَرِ أَلْفَ سَنَةٍ مِنْ آياتِ عِزٍّ بَدِيعِ هَلْ يَفْقَهُ فِي نَفْسِه أَوْ يُؤثِّرُ فِيهِ لا فَوَرَبِّكَ الرَّحْمنِ الرِّحِيمِ، وَلَوْ تَقْرَأُ كُلَّ الآياتِ عَلَى الأَصَمِّ هَل يَسمَعُ مِنها حَرْفًا لا فَوَجَمالِ عِزٍّ قَدِيمٍ. Unloose the tongue with excellent utterance, then admonish the people if ye find them advancing unto the sanctuary of God; otherwise abandon them unto themselves and forsake them in the abyss of hell. Beware lest ye scatter the pearls of inner significance before every barren, dumb one. Verily, the blind are deprived of witnessing the lights and are unable to distinguish between the stone and the holy, precious pearl.
Verily, wert thou to read the most mighty, wonderful verses to the stone for a thousand years, will it understand, or will they take any effect therein? No! by thy Lord, the merciful, the clement! If thou readest all the verses of God unto the deaf, will he hear a single letter? No! Verily, by the beauty, the mighty, the ancient! (edit) |
Open your tongue with good speech and then remind the people if you find them receptive to the sanctity of Allah; otherwise, invite them with their own selves and then leave them at the origin of Hellfire. Beware not to spread the pearls of meaning to every blind and barren person. Indeed, the blind one is deprived of seeing the lights and will not distinguish the stone from a precious sacred pearl. If you were to recite a thousand years of marvelous verses of glory upon a stone, would it understand or be affected by it? No, by your Merciful and Compassionate Lord. And if you recite all the verses to a deaf person, would they hear a single letter from them? No, by the ancient glory's beauty. (edit) |
14 | كذَلِكَ أَلقَيْناكَ مِنْ جَواهِرِ الحِكْمَةِ وَالبَيانِ لِتَكُونَ ناظِرًا
إِلَى شَطْرِ رَبِّكَ وَتَنْقَطِعَ عَنِ العَالَمِينَ وَالرُّوحُ عَلَيْكَ وَعَلَى الَّذينَ هُمْ اسْتَقرُّوا عَلَى مَقَرِّ القُدْسِ وَكَانُوا فِي أَمْرِ رَبِّهِمْ عَلَى اسْتِقَامَةٍ مُبِينٍ (edit) |
Thus have We delivered unto thee some of the jewels of wisdom and utterance, in order that thou mayest gaze unto the direction of thy Lord and be severed from all the creatures. May the spirit and glory rest upon thee, and upon those who dwell upon the plain of holiness and who remain in the Cause of their Lord in manifest steadfastness! (edit) | Thus, We have cast upon you from the jewels of wisdom and eloquence so that you may gaze towards your Lord's direction and detach yourself from the worlds. The spirit is upon you and upon those who have settled at the abode of holiness and have been steadfast in the command of their Lord, on a clear and straight path. (edit) |
